Good to know
- • Fines shown are a selection of common offences for four vehicle types from the TRACS official fine list; the full list covers 26 vehicle types and over 100 violations.
- • Penalty points are also added for most violations (e.g. car: overspeeding 8 points, red light 4, mobile phone 4, seat belt 2, wrong parking 2; motorcycle: no helmet 6). TRACS says accumulating too many points can lead to licence suspension.
- • TRACS disclaimer: fine amounts may be updated by the authorities; verify with the latest official sources, the traffic police or a Sahulat Centre.
- • The e-ticket is issued against the registered vehicle, not the driver; the owner must resolve it.
- • Complaints about wrong e-tickets are usually reviewed within a few working days.
- • Sahulat Centres listed by TRACS (Karachi): SSP Office Traffic Central, East, West and Malir; Preedy, Sharah-e-Faisal, Secretariat, Ferozabad and Korangi traffic sections; Police Facilitation 15; Daraksha Police Station.
- • There is also a separate repeat-violation charge ('Repetition of Same Violation': e.g. Rs 5,000 motorcycle, Rs 10,000 car).
