Register with the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA)

The Punjab Revenue Authority administers sales tax on services in Punjab. Registration is done online on PRA's Iris portal: your basic information is fetched from FBR's records, and you add addresses, business, utility and bank details. After you confirm, a password is sent to your email and mobile.

Who can apply
- Persons registering voluntarily, or on receiving a PRA notice (compulsory registration, using the Notice Bar Code)
- Basic information is fetched from FBR records, so you should already be registered with FBR
- Business details are mandatory if you mark yourself as a Service Provider; for a company user, the Withholding Agent box is marked automatically

Steps
- 1Open the PRA Iris portal (e.pra.punjab.gov.pk) and click 'New Registration'.پی آر اے آئرس پورٹل (e.pra.punjab.gov.pk) کھولیں اور 'New Registration' پر کلک کریں۔
- 2Fill in the required fields, choose the Registration Basis (voluntary or notice/compulsory) and Person type, enter the captcha and submit.ضروری خانے پُر کریں، رجسٹریشن کی بنیاد (رضاکارانہ یا نوٹس/لازمی) اور پرسن کی قسم منتخب کریں، کیپچا درج کر کے جمع کرائیں۔
- 3Enter the verification codes sent to your mobile number and email.اپنے موبائل نمبر اور ای میل پر آنے والے تصدیقی کوڈ درج کریں۔
- 4Check the basic information fetched from FBR, then add or confirm your address, business (with at least one principal activity and one primary business), utility and bank account details.ایف بی آر سے آئی بنیادی معلومات چیک کریں، پھر اپنا پتہ، کاروبار (کم از کم ایک بنیادی سرگرمی اور ایک پرائمری کاروبار کے ساتھ)، یوٹیلیٹی اور بینک اکاؤنٹ کی تفصیلات شامل یا تصدیق کریں۔
- 5On the Verification screen, accept the undertaking and click Confirm. A password is sent to your registered email and mobile.ویریفکیشن اسکرین پر حلف نامہ قبول کر کے Confirm پر کلک کریں۔ پاس ورڈ آپ کی رجسٹرڈ ای میل اور موبائل پر بھیج دیا جائے گا۔
- 6Log into PRA Iris with your Registration Number (CNIC for Pakistani individuals, 7-digit NTN for AOPs and companies) to file returns.ریٹرن جمع کرانے کے لیے اپنے رجسٹریشن نمبر (پاکستانی افراد کے لیے شناختی کارڈ نمبر، اے او پی اور کمپنی کے لیے 7 ہندسوں کا این ٹی این) سے پی آر اے آئرس میں لاگ ان کریں۔
Good to know
- • Information fetched from FBR on the Basic Information screen cannot be edited during PRA registration.
- • You cannot start tasks on PRA Iris until you complete the second part of registration by submitting the Registration Form with all required data and documents.
- • To appoint an advisor or consultant, or change particulars, use 'R11/12 Form of Registration filed for Modification' in PRA Iris.
