The University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore runs the central online admission to MBBS and BDS in Punjab's public sector medical and dental colleges, including King Edward Medical College (KEMU), Allama Iqbal, Nishtar, Fatima Jinnah, Rawalpindi and Services colleges. You need a Punjab domicile, at least 60% in FSc pre-medical (or equivalent) and a passing MDCAT score; merit is 10% matric, 40% FSc and 50% MDCAT.

Who can apply
- MDCAT passed with at least 55% marks for MBBS and 50% for BDS (2025-26 session: MDCAT 2023, 2024 or 2025 accepted)
- HSSC (Pre-Medical) or an equivalent 12th-grade qualification recognised by IBCC with at least 60% marks, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics
- Domicile certificate from any district of Punjab (not required for foreign/overseas quota seats)
- Foreign nationals and overseas Pakistanis may submit MDCAT, or SAT-II (minimum 550 in Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics), or MCAT (International)/UCAT with at least 50% in those subjects
- Seat categories: open merit, plus reserved seats for disabled students, Cholistan, under-developed districts, reciprocal seats for Punjab candidates in other provinces, and overseas Pakistanis; quota seats have extra conditions set out in the Prospectus

- 1Register for MDCAT through the PM&DC portal when registration opens, and sit the test. - 2When UHS advertises admissions, read the Prospectus and the Government of Punjab admission policy on uhs.edu.pk.جب یو ایچ ایس داخلوں کا اشتہار دے تو uhs.edu.pk پر پراسپیکٹس اور حکومت پنجاب کی داخلہ پالیسی غور سے پڑھیں۔
- 3Register on the UHS online admission portal (separate portals for MBBS and BDS) with your name, father's/guardian's name, email, CNIC/passport number and a password.یو ایچ ایس کے آن لائن داخلہ پورٹل (ایم بی بی ایس اور بی ڈی ایس کے الگ پورٹل) پر اپنا نام، والد/سرپرست کا نام، ای میل، شناختی کارڈ/پاسپورٹ نمبر اور پاس ورڈ دے کر رجسٹر ہوں۔

- • Session 2026-27: as of 2 October 2026 UHS had not yet published the 2026-27 MBBS/BDS admission advertisement or schedule. UHS held MDCAT-2026 on Sunday, 16 August 2026 in 15 cities of Punjab (candidates registered through the PM&DC portal; admittance cards were downloadable from mdcat.uhs.edu.pk from 6 August 2026). - • MDCAT-2026 registration (PM&DC): online registration opened 22 June 2026; by PM&DC's notice of 8 July 2026 the regular-fee deadline was extended to 13 July 2026 and the late-fee deadline to 18 July 2026.
- • For reference, the last published UHS cycle (session 2025-26) ran: online applications 7 November 2025 (9:00 AM) to 21 November 2025 (5:00 PM); MBBS final merit 28 November 2025 and first selection list 1 December 2025; BDS final merit 29 December 2025 and first list 2 January 2026; classes began 2 February 2026 (MBBS) and 2 March 2026 (BDS).

- • Merit formula (2025-26 policy): Matriculation/SSC 10%, FSc/HSSC Pre-Medical 40%, MDCAT 50%.

- • Hard copies are not accepted; incomplete applications are rejected. Forged documents lead to cancellation and possible disciplinary action.
- • Vacant seats are filled through mandatory upgradation lists based on merit and preferences; upgraded candidates must report to the new college in time and UHS transfers their fee.
- • Students selected on overseas quota seats pay USD 10,000 per year in foreign currency (PM&DC notification of 21-03-2025).
- • Quota seats reserved for students of other provinces/regions are advertised separately.
