جی سی یونیورسٹی لاہور (جی سی یو) میں بی ایس داخلے کے لیے درخواست
Government College University Lahore admits students to its BS programmes on open merit through the online portal gcuonline.pk. For Fall 2026 most BS programmes had no entrance test: merit is 20% Matric and 80% Intermediate Part-I marks, while Electrical Engineering, LLB, BFA and Physical Education have their own test requirements. The processing fee is Rs. 1,000 per subject, paid at any UBL branch.
گورنمنٹ کالج یونیورسٹی لاہور اپنے بی ایس پروگراموں میں اوپن میرٹ پر آن لائن پورٹل gcuonline.pk کے ذریعے داخلہ دیتی ہے۔ فال 2026 میں زیادہ تر بی ایس پروگراموں کے لیے کوئی داخلہ ٹیسٹ نہیں تھا: میرٹ میں میٹرک کا حصہ 20 فیصد اور انٹرمیڈیٹ پارٹ ون کا 80 فیصد ہے، جبکہ الیکٹریکل انجینئرنگ، ایل ایل بی، بی ایف اے اور فزیکل ایجوکیشن کی اپنی ٹیسٹ شرائط ہیں۔ پروسیسنگ فیس فی مضمون 1,000 روپے ہے جو یو بی ایل کی کسی بھی برانچ میں جمع ہوتی ہے۔

Who can apply
- At least 50% marks in Intermediate Part-I, DAE (Year I & II) or Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level for BS / ADP programmes. BFA needs 45%; BSc Electrical Engineering and BS Information Security Engineering Technology need 60%; Pharm-D needs 60% (only FSc Pre-Medical or AS/A-Level with pre-medical subjects).
- Admission is granted provisionally on Intermediate Part-I (or DAE Year I & II) marks; you must have appeared in the final exam and must pass it.
- Candidates who appeared in composite / combined Intermediate Part I & II exams, or who have a supplementary in Intermediate Part-I or DAE, are ineligible.
- Computing programmes: at least 50% in Intermediate or equivalent with Mathematics, or Pre-Medical (Pre-Medical students must pass 6 credit hours of Mathematics deficiency courses).
- BS Physics, Mathematics, Statistics and Electronics require Mathematics at Intermediate Part-I / DAE / A-Level.
- LLB requires passing the HEC Law Admission Test (LAT) before the application closing date.
- BSc Electrical Engineering requires at least 60% in Intermediate (Pre-Engineering), ICS or equivalent, no third division in the academic career, and a recognised entry test (e.g. UET ECAT, NUST, NED / MUET, NTS, ETEA or the university test).
- A-Level candidates are considered on 3 subjects (results awaited may apply) and must later submit IBCC equivalence.

- 2Apply online at www.gcuonline.pk within the advertised dates, choosing each subject / programme you want.مشتہر تاریخوں کے اندر www.gcuonline.pk پر آن لائن درخواست دیں اور ہر مطلوبہ مضمون / پروگرام منتخب کریں۔
- 3Pay the processing fee of Rs. 1,000 for each subject at any UBL branch in Pakistan. Payments through UBL Omni or other online methods are not accepted.ہر مضمون کے لیے 1,000 روپے پروسیسنگ فیس پاکستان بھر میں یو بی ایل کی کسی بھی برانچ میں جمع کرائیں۔ یو بی ایل اومنی یا دیگر آن لائن طریقوں سے ادائیگی قبول نہیں۔

Good to know
- • Open merit formula (all BS programmes except BSc Electrical Engineering and BS Information Security Engineering Technology): Matriculation / O-Level 20% + Intermediate Part-I / DAE / AS Level 80%.
- • BSc Electrical Engineering and BS Information Security Engineering Technology: 70% weight for academics (Matric 20%, Intermediate Part-I 80%) and 30% for GCU test / ECAT or another PEC-approved test.
- • Hafiz-e-Quran candidates apply under open merit and get 20 extra marks in Intermediate Part-I marks, subject to passing an oral test.
- • Fall 2026 Phase-III advertisement: no entrance test for any BS programme except BFA (entrance test) and BS Physical Education (physical efficiency test), to be held on 4 October 2026 at the Main Campus, Katchery Road. Last date to apply for Phase-III: 2 October 2026.
- • Fall 2026 Phase-I advertisement was dated 14 June 2026. Dates for the next (Fall 2027) cycle had not been published on the official pages checked.
- • Quotas: 2% special / disabled, 2% religious minorities, 5% lawyers' children (LLB only), plus seats for provinces / areas other than Punjab, sports and co-curricular activities.
- • For some Pharm-D admission categories (marked on the GCU BS admissions page), an additional fee of Rs. 500,000 must be submitted by bank draft with the application, on top of the regular university fee. Contact the department before applying.
- • The Fall 2026 Phase-III advertisement listed a 60% GCU scholarship for all students admitted to certain BS programmes (e.g. Library & Information Science, Persian, Punjabi, Philosophy, Translation Studies, Turkish, Urdu, Agriculture, Archive Studies, Art History, Global Studies, History, Islamic Studies, Physical Education).

Questions people ask
›Is there an entry test for GCU Lahore BS admission?
For Fall 2026, no entrance test was held for BS programmes except BFA (entrance test) and BS Physical Education (physical efficiency test). Electrical Engineering needs ECAT or another PEC-approved test, and LLB needs the HEC LAT.
›How is GCU merit calculated?
20% Matric / O-Level marks and 80% Intermediate Part-I / DAE / AS Level marks for most BS programmes.
›How much is the application fee?
Rs. 1,000 processing fee for each subject (BS and Diploma), paid at any UBL branch; certificate programmes Rs. 500.
