Under Phase 2 of the CM Punjab E-Bikes Scheme, students aged 16 or over at public or private institutions in Punjab can get an electric scooty on 0% interest with no down payment, paid over 3 years. The Government of Punjab gives a PKR 90,000 capital subsidy and pays interest, insurance, registration and token tax. Apply online at bikes.punjab.gov.pk by October 4, 2026.

Who can apply
- Bonafide student of a public or private educational institution registered/recognised by the relevant Government of Punjab department, board, authority or regulator
- Students of federally chartered institutes, including their campuses, are not eligible
- At least 16 years old when submitting the application
- Valid driving licence, learner's driving permit or juvenile driving permit
- Valid CNIC, B-Form or Child Registration Certificate (CRC)
- A guarantor (parent, legal guardian or anyone with income acceptable to the bank) with a valid CNIC, a verifiable regular income of at least PKR 40,000 per month and a mobile SIM registered in their own name

- • Status (checked 2026-10-03): bikes.punjab.gov.pk shows Phase 2 with "Last Date to Apply October 4, 2026".
- • Price of the e-bike under the scheme: PKR 199,000. Capital subsidy by GoPb: PKR 90,000. No down payment. 0% interest for applicants. Financing period: 3 years. Monthly instalment approx. Rs. 3,000.
- • Government of Punjab bears the interest cost, insurance, registration and token tax. Helmet and safety rods are free.
- • Total under Phase 2: 100,000 electric scooties.
- • The mobile number on the application must be in the guarantor's name, or the applicant's if the student has a documented source of income.
- • Earlier phase (2024): 12,413 bikes (2,031 e-bikes and 10,382 petrol bikes) were distributed to students after e-balloting.

Yes. Students of public and private institutions registered with the relevant Government of Punjab authorities can apply; students of federally chartered institutes cannot.
›What will I pay?
No down payment. The e-bike price is PKR 199,000 with a PKR 90,000 government subsidy; the rest is paid in instalments of approx. Rs. 3,000 per month over 3 years at 0% interest.
›Who can be my guarantor?
A parent or legal guardian (or anyone with income acceptable under the bank's rules) with a valid CNIC and a verifiable monthly income of at least PKR 40,000.
