Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Zakat department pays for treatment of deserving (Mustahiq) patients in government hospitals. The general Health Care grant covers indoor and outdoor treatment per visit, and the Special Health Care Programme pays treatment costs for cancer, cardiac, hepatitis and kidney patients. You need an Istehqaq certificate from your Local Zakat Committee.

خیبرپختونخوا محکمہ زکوٰۃ سرکاری ہسپتالوں میں مستحق مریضوں کے علاج کا خرچ ادا کرتا ہے۔ عام ہیلتھ کیئر گرانٹ فی دورہ اِن ڈور اور آؤٹ ڈور علاج کا احاطہ کرتی ہے، اور اسپیشل ہیلتھ کیئر پروگرام کینسر، دل، ہیپاٹائٹس اور گردوں کے مریضوں کے علاج کا خرچ دیتا ہے۔ اس کے لیے مقامی زکوٰۃ کمیٹی سے استحقاق سرٹیفکیٹ درکار ہے۔

Steps

1Get the Istehqaq certificate (Form-1) from the Local Zakat Committee of your permanent residence; it certifies you are poor with no income to meet the cost of illness.اپنی مستقل رہائش کی مقامی زکوٰۃ کمیٹی سے استحقاق سرٹیفکیٹ (فارم 1) حاصل کریں، جو تصدیق کرتا ہے کہ آپ غریب ہیں اور علاج کا خرچ برداشت نہیں کر سکتے۔
2Have it countersigned by the chairman of the District Zakat Committee.اس پر ضلعی زکوٰۃ کمیٹی کے چیئرمین کے دستخط کروائیں۔
3Take it to a provincial/teaching, DHQ or THQ hospital; the hospital's Health Welfare Committee handles Zakat-funded treatment.یہ سرٹیفکیٹ صوبائی/ٹیچنگ، ڈی ایچ کیو یا ٹی ایچ کیو ہسپتال لے جائیں؛ ہسپتال کی ہیلتھ ویلفیئر کمیٹی زکوٰۃ سے علاج کا انتظام کرتی ہے۔

• District level (DHQ/THQ hospitals): Indoor patients Rs. 10,000/- per visit; Outdoor patients Rs. 5,000/- per visit.
• Provincial level (26 Zakat-aided hospitals): Indoor patients Rs. 50,000/- per visit; Outdoor patients Rs. 5,000/- per visit. Hospital Health Welfare Committees can extend the cost beyond these ceilings if required.
• Special Health Care Programme ceiling: Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 500,000/-. Sanction limits: hospital Health Welfare Committee up to Rs. 50,000; Chief Administrator/Secretary Zakat & Ushr up to Rs. 100,000; Chairman KP Zakat & Ushr Council up to Rs. 200,000; Minister for Zakat & Ushr up to Rs. 300,000; a committee of the three above for more than Rs. 300,000.
