UET Peshawar admits students to B.Sc. Engineering programmes at its Peshawar, Nowshera, Abbottabad and Bannu campuses on merit, under subsidised (open merit), self-finance and reserved quota schemes. You must first take the entry test conducted by ETEA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (or another PEC-designated testing agency), then apply on the UET admission portal and pay a Rs. 2,500 application fee. Merit is 10% SSC, 40% Intermediate Part-I and 50% entry test.
یو ای ٹی پشاور اپنے پشاور، نوشہرہ، ایبٹ آباد اور بنوں کیمپسز میں بی ایس سی انجینئرنگ پروگراموں میں سبسڈائزڈ (اوپن میرٹ)، سیلف فنانس اور مخصوص کوٹہ اسکیموں کے تحت میرٹ پر داخلہ دیتی ہے۔ پہلے ای ٹی ای اے خیبر پختونخوا (یا پی ای سی کی منظور شدہ کسی اور ٹیسٹنگ ایجنسی) کا انٹری ٹیسٹ دینا ہوتا ہے، پھر یو ای ٹی کے داخلہ پورٹل پر درخواست دے کر 2,500 روپے درخواست فیس جمع کروانی ہوتی ہے۔ میرٹ 10 فیصد میٹرک، 40 فیصد انٹر پارٹ ون اور 50 فیصد انٹری ٹیسٹ پر مشتمل ہے۔

Who can apply
- Open merit (subsidised) seats: domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (or erstwhile FATA under its quota) and an entry test from ETEA or another PEC-designated testing agency for the 2026-27 session
- Intermediate (Pre-Engineering: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry), Intermediate (Computer Science: Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science) or Intermediate (Pre-Medical: Biology, Physics, Chemistry) with at least 60% unadjusted marks, or an equivalent qualification with IBCC equivalence
- Pre-Medical candidates are limited to 40% of each programme's intake and must pass a mandatory eight-week condensed Mathematics programme; Computer Science group students take Chemistry as a remedial course in the first semester
- DAE (3-year post-matric) or B.Tech holders with at least 60% unadjusted marks are eligible for their relevant disciplines
- Candidates awaiting results who expect at least 60% may apply on a Hope Certificate
- Candidates with any domicile may apply for open-merit seats in the disciplines advertised for all Pakistan; on subsidised (open merit) seats priority goes to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa domicile holders

Good to know
- • Academic Session 2026-27: online applications were open 6–31 July 2026 (until 4:00 PM on 31 July). Hafiz-e-Quran oral test 4 August 2026 at 9:00 AM; first merit lists (subsidised and non-subsidised) 6 August 2026; second and third subsidised merit lists 14 and 19 August 2026; non-subsidised lists 26 and 29 August 2026; reserved quota merit lists 4 September 2026; classes commenced 7 September 2026. Dates for the 2027-28 session had not been published when checked.
- • Merit = 10% SSC marks + 40% Intermediate Part-I (or equivalent, adjusted marks) + 50% entry test marks. Candidates who completed Intermediate in 2023 or before are also merited on Part-I. DAE merit uses 1st and 2nd year results.
- • Marks adjustments: 10 marks are deducted for each additional attempt to pass or improve Intermediate (maximum deduction 20), 10 marks for taking Mathematics as an additional subject, and Hafiz-e-Quran candidates who pass UET's test get 20 extra marks.
- • ETEA entry test pattern for 2026-27: Pre-Engineering/Computer Science/DAE/B.Tech paper of 100 MCQs (Physics 40, Mathematics 35, English 15, Chemistry or Computer Science 10); Pre-Medical paper of 65 MCQs (Physics 40, English 15, Chemistry 10), scaled to 100%. One mark per correct answer, no negative marking. The test result is valid for one academic year.
- • The entry test fee is charged by the testing agency per test and is non-refundable; its amount is not stated in UET's prospectus.
- • Candidates from Federal Capital, Punjab, Sindh, AJK, Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan may sit the ETEA test for the five seats reserved in each discipline on a non-subsidised basis, or use an entry test from a PEC-accredited public sector engineering university of their province.
- • 5% quota is reserved for Overseas Pakistanis at US$2,000 per annum (or equivalent in rupees) on top of the open-merit fee. Reserved seats for erstwhile FATA, AJK, Gilgit-Baltistan, other provinces, Army, Air Force, foreign nationals and others are filled through nominating agencies.
- • No separate call letters are sent by post; candidates must check their online profiles, the UET notice board and the official websites (www.uetpeshawar.edu.pk and www.enggentrancetest.pk). Candidates who do not complete admission on the notified date are marked absent and the seat goes to the next candidate.
