International Islamic University, Islamabad admits students twice a year, in Fall and Spring, through its online admission portal. Most undergraduate programmes are admitted on previous marks (SSC 40%, HSSC 60%), while engineering, computing and law programmes need an admission test or HEC LAT. Pakistani applicants pay a Rs. 2,000 processing fee, which covers up to five programmes.
بین الاقوامی اسلامی یونیورسٹی اسلام آباد سال میں دو بار، فال اور اسپرنگ میں، اپنے آن لائن داخلہ پورٹل کے ذریعے داخلے دیتی ہے۔ زیادہ تر انڈرگریجویٹ پروگرامز میں داخلہ سابقہ نمبروں (میٹرک 40 فیصد، انٹر 60 فیصد) پر ہوتا ہے، جبکہ انجینئرنگ، کمپیوٹنگ اور قانون کے پروگرامز کے لیے داخلہ ٹیسٹ یا ایچ ای سی لیٹ ضروری ہے۔ پاکستانی امیدوار 2,000 روپے پراسیسنگ فیس ادا کرتے ہیں، جس میں پانچ پروگرامز تک درخواست دی جا سکتی ہے۔

Who can apply
- Most BS programmes: HSSC or equivalent with at least 50% marks (e.g. BS English, BS Usuluddin/Islamic Studies); some programmes need specific subjects
- BS Computer Science: HSSC (FSc Pre-Engineering/Pre-Medical)/ICS/A-Level with Mathematics or equivalent with 50% marks, along with Physics, Statistics or Computer Science
- BS Electrical Engineering: HSSC (Pre-Engineering/Pre-Medical)/FSc/A-Level/ICS (Maths, Physics, Computer)/DAE in a relevant field with 60% marks, and 60% marks in SSC (Science)
- LLB: HSSC or equivalent with at least 50% marks and a passed HEC Law Admission Test (LAT) result
- MS: GRE General equivalent test with minimum 50% passing score; PhD: GRE/HAT with 60% minimum and CGPA of at least 3.00
- Result-awaited candidates (undergraduate only, who have already sat the exam) may apply and get provisional admission

Good to know
- • Session Fall 2026: the IIUI general schedule is applications from the first week of June to 15 July, with classes from the first working day of September. Fall 2026 admission tests were held on 10, 11 and 12 August 2026 (computing and most graduate programmes) and 13 August 2026 at 9:00 AM (engineering).
- • Spring admissions (general schedule): applications from the first week of November to 15 December, with classes from the first working day of February. Exact Spring 2027 dates had not been published on the pages checked as of 2 October 2026.
- • Merit formula: undergraduate programmes on previous-qualification basis use SSC 40% and HSSC 60% (result-awaited candidates are assessed on 60% of actual HSSC Part-I marks). Where a test is mandatory and no accreditation-body rule applies: PQM 40% (SSC 15%, HSSC 25%) and test 60%. MS/PhD: PQM 40%, admission test 40%, interview 20%.
- • Applying to programmes in a different faculty requires an additional processing fee.
- • Foreign candidates pay a processing fee of USD 50 or the equal amount in Pakistani rupees (admission portal). The June 2025 admission policy states a processing fee of Rs 1,500; the admission portal now states Rs. 2,000.
- • Result-awaited candidates must submit their result within 15 days of the start of the semester, or the admission is cancelled. Percentages are not rounded (49.99% is not 50%).
- • Male and female applicants are handled by separate admission offices.
- • Fee refund: 100% of the fee is refundable up to the 10th day after classes start, reducing to no refund after the 31st day.

Questions people ask
›How many programmes can I apply for with one fee?
Up to five degree programmes for a single Rs. 2,000 processing fee. Applying to a different faculty needs an additional fee.
›Is there an entry test for BS at IIUI?
Most undergraduate programmes are admitted on previous marks (SSC 40%, HSSC 60%). Engineering, computing and other programmes where an accreditation body requires it have an admission test, and LLB needs the HEC LAT.
›Can I apply while my intermediate result is awaited?
Yes, for undergraduate programmes, if you have already appeared in the exam. You get provisional admission and must submit the result within 15 days of the semester starting.
